Pichaya Lertvilai, a doctoral candidate in the Jaffe Lab, recently won overall runnerup from the British Ecological Society’s nature photography competition. The photo was taken here at Scripps, and shows multiple paralarvae of the California two-spot octopus, Octopus bimaculatus, hatching from their egg sacs. You can read the article here.
